Background Noise

Modern turbines properly sited are surprisingly quiet, as the wind farm at Burton Wold demonstrates.  

Strict criteria have to be adhered to in evaluating and meeting noise conditions as part of any planning consent.  

An understanding of the noise environment is needed and Nuon has monitored noise around the site at a selection of locations.

We have designed the site so that the turbines should not have any adverse impact on our neighbours.
