How will it look

The turbine layout is yet to be finalised as we are still in the process of analysing the results of our environmental surveys and assessments that will inform the ultimate design. However, these photomontages provide an indicative visualisation based on the current Rhyd Ddu design and includes all known wind farms that have been proposed for SSA B at the time of the assessment. The design is based on a turbine model with a tip height of 126.5m and a rotor diameter of 90m equivalent to a 2.5 - 3MW rated machine.  

By assessing the other proposed wind farm developments in SSA B and understanding the potential cumulative landscape and visual impacts in the area we will design the layout at Rhyd Ddu so that it compliments, as far as possible, the other wind developments proposed in the area.  

Once the wind farm design has been agreed final photomontages will be produced to aid the visual assessment of the proposal and will be available to view online.
