Community Benefits

Nuon look to provide a community fund of up to £2,000 per MW produced per year once the wind farm is fully operational. Swinford has a maximum capacity of 27.5MW and so has the potential to provide up to £55,000 per year for the lifetime of the project.

Nuon look to engage with local communities in order to make an informed decision on where this money should be spent. If you have any specific ideas for the community benefit fund, please feel free to fill out our online feedback form. We are always keen to hear your ideas.

Listening to you

The proposal was revised to reflect concerns by local residents. This included re-siting turbines away from the edge of the site and increasing the distance from houses and ecologically sensitive areas.
