Community Engagement December 2009
Following the successful round of community drop in sessions back in July and August, Nuon Renewables feel that it would be appropriate to hold two further drop in sessions before the end of 2009. The purpose of these sessions is primarily is to try and address and feedback to the local residents some of the more consistent concerns and questions that were previously raised.
A newsletter has recently been sent to the same 2600 properties contacted earlier this year about the first round of drop in sessions. A copy of this newsletter can be downloaded if you click here.
These final two drop in sessions for 2009 will be held at the Llidiartywaun Community Hall on the 9th December between 4.30pm-8.00pm, and on the 10th December between 9.30am and 1.30pm. The sessions aim to also allow you to consider the improved wind farm layout, raise questions, and share your knowledge, concerns and ideas.

Community Engagement July & August 2009
On July 31st and August 1st, community drop in sessions were held at Pant-y-dwr, Llandinam and Llanidloes. Please click here to download a copy of the brochure that was sent to sum 2600 local residents around the Hirddywel area.
Nuon Renewables would like to thank all those who came to find out more about the proposed wind farm development at Hirddywel. We enjoyed meeting with you at the drop-in events, and appreciate the time you spent reflecting on the material presented, and giving us your feedback.
Between 80 and 90 people came to the events, and everyone spent at least half an hour reading the material presented, studying relevant maps, talking to the organisers and technical experts and writing their comments. Several people spent rather longer than that, and we are glad that the individuals who did participate, invested so much of their time in this exchange of information and in dialogue with Nuon Renewables representatives. Nuon Renewables now have some insights, observations and opinions to work with, as we refine their proposals and consider how to remain in touch with you.
The results from the events were assessed by an independent company (BDOR Limited) both in full and with key points highlighted to alert Nuon Renewables to aspects of the project where some changes are most needed, in line with people's comments.
