Community Benefits

Nuon will provide a community fund linked to the wind farm development. If the Swinford Wind Farm is approved, we are proposing a community fund of up to £2,000 per MW per year. For a 27.5MW project, this could provide £55,000 per year for the lifetime of the project.

The fund would be administered by members of the community and the money used to help fund local projects.

Listening to you

The proposal has been revised to reflects concerns by local residents. This includes re-siting turbines away from the edge of the site and increasing the distance from houses and ecologically sensitive areas.
